Murrayville House Movie Nights coming soon

Valleyites, I’m so excited to break the news about a new series of events coming to Langley  this summer  that you won’t want to miss.

I’m talking about watching some of your all-time favourite stars under the stars with your family and friends for Murrayville House Movie Nights. This outdoor movie experience here in ‘the Valley’ will feature Back to the Future on July 22, Home on July 9 and Pirates of the Caribbean on Aug. 5.

Bring the whole family on over to Denny Ross Memorial Park to one or all three evenings to watch one these fantastic flicks. There is room for up to 1,500 people every night — no reservations required. Simply bring along your friends and your blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy these great movie nights.

The fun begins at 4 p.m.; Movies begin at dusk. Click the link for more details and to find out how to win VIP Lounge Prizes or the grand prize of a Backyard Screen Package.

In addition to the films being shown, there will be loads of activities for all ages, including:

• Fun tattoos

• Face painting

• Playground

• Glow sticks

• Bouncy castle

• Arts area & more

There will also be an ice cream truck, health food truck, hot dog stand free popcorn and water stations on site. Make sure to bring your own water bottle.

 While it’s a free event, attendees are encouraged to bring a can of food to support the Langley Salvation Army community food bank.

Movie Nights will proceed, weather permitting, as scheduled.

 

When: July 22, July 29th and August 5th at 4 p.m.

Where: Denny Ross Memorial Park, on 4700 Old Yale Road, Murrayville. Overflow parking is at James Hill Elementary School. Street parking available where marked.

Cost: Free, but please rememember to bring a can of food to support the Langley Salvation Army community food bank.
