Enter to Win a $75 Gift Card to FlipSize Canada

When it comes to shopping for my daughters’ clothes, I have a hard time paying full price for anything.

There’s no way I’m going to shell out $40 for a sweater that will be stained, tattered or lost within weeks of the purchase. Heck, I have a hard time spending that on myself these days.

Thrift stores are always an adventure, but not exactly the easiest to navigate with two kids playing hide-and-go-seek in the clothing racks. The last time I went to Value Village with my wee ladies, they had to put the store on lock down because my feisty red-head decided to hide and not come out for 15 minutes.

So what does a thrifty, frazzled Valley mom do when they don’t want to break the bank or hunt through rack-upon-rack of second-hand ‘treasures’ that aren’t usually sized or in the best condition, while making sure their little one doesn’t end up on a milk carton?

I’m gonna tell ya.

You kiss your darling babies goodnight, pour yourself cuppa tea or fat glass of wine,  log on to www.flipsize.ca and shop in your flannel pj’s.

This handy Canadian website is an affordable and convenient way to shop for shoes and clothing for children in sizes newborn to 16.

With just the click of a mouse, you can filter your settings to choose the gender and sizing category you’re looking for.

For $50, I was able to fill my digital shopping cart with the following treasures:

  • Size 6 skinny jeans from old Navy for Molly
  • The most gorgeous wool single-breasted black pea coat from Gymboree in size 5 for Zoe
  • Long sleeve striped T for Zoe in size 5
  • And three of the most beautiful holiday dresses for both of them to share that ranged from sizes 4-7.

My order arrived at our doorstep less than a week after checkout. Each piece of clothing was in impeccable condition and smelled freshly laundered. I was even happy to see that two of the items still had the price tags on them. Score!

As I put away their ‘new’ clothes, I realized it’s probably time to get rid of some of the items in their closet that no longer fits.

FlipSize to the rescue – Again!

With FlipSize, you can send them the stuff that your little one has outgrown, granted that it’s in great condition. All you have to do is order a free inbound bag and pre-paid label, which will arrive at your home in just a few days. Don’t want to pay the shipping? There is free local pick up in Langley (walnut grove), maple ridge and surrey (fraser heights).

By sending the bag, you’ll earn points for cash, store credit or your favourite retail gift cards.

Still need to do some holiday shopping? FlipSize Canada has many items with tags still on them that would make perfect Christmas gifts! This means you can have brand new clothes at second-hand prices. Note: There is free shipping on all orders over $70. See you on the flip size.
