Easter Events and Activities in the Fraser Valley

Would you prefer to hop on over to an Easter event or egg hunt close to home? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

From a petting zoo in Clayton Heights and real bunnies in Abbotsford to an Easter Scavenger hunt in a popular South Langley vineyard, Your Guide to Easter Events and Activities in the Fraser Valley is filled with egg-cellent events in Langley, Surrey, Abbotsford and Chiliwack.

Here’s what’s happening in and around your hood for Easter 2016.

LANGLEY

Decorative Polymer Eggs Workshop ~ March 23

Hop on over to the Makers Room in downtown Langley, 20569 Fraser Highway, where you’ll learn how to create polymer clay canes to decorate a keepsake egg – right on time for Easter! Cost: $69.

Easter Extravaganza ~ March 26

West Langley Hall, located at 9400 208 St., is offering Easter fun for all ages, including crafts, songs, games and an Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m

Bunnies & Baskets ~ March 26

Bunnies & Baskets will be held at the Museum, at 9135 King Street in Fort Langley, on Saturday, March 26, with a morning session from 10 a.m. until noon and an afternoon session from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Cost: $10 for a family of 4 ($2 per person for larger families). There will be plenty to do, including a variety of crafts and games, Easter egg dyeing, Easter egg hunt, petting zoo, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Easter Scavenger Hunt and Egg Scramble ~March 27

Calling all little bunnies! Get ready for an all-ages Easter Scavenger Hunt at the Fort Langley National Historic Site. Your mission: Complete the activities of the scavenger hunt and earn chocolate treats. The all-ages scavenger hunt includes fun activities that will take you exploring around the fort and earning chocolate as you go. The scavenger hunt will take place around the grounds within the fort walls and will be available all day from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. At 11 a.m., 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. kids 5 and under can participate in the “Egg Scramble,” find as many eggs as you can on the giant map of British Columbia. The egg scramble will last until all the eggs have been found.

Township 7’ 10th Annual Easter Festival & Egg Hunt ~March 27

Pair your Easter chocolates with wine and egg-cellent entertainment at the Township 7’s 10th annual Easter festival. For the children, there will be an egg hunt in the vineyard along with a deluxe petting zoo and live music. Sample their new releases as well as delicious wares from an onsite food truck, all while the kids frolic in the vineyard! Donations greatly accepted in support of Ronald McDonald House of BC. Easter Egg Hunt & Petting Zoo ~ March 19

It’s going down! A giant Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. outside Katzie Elementary (6887 194 A Street). After the hunt, stay and enjoy the petting zoo, face painting, bouncy castles, crafts and more free surprises. RSVP HERE.

Easter at Art Knapp, Surrey Easter at Art Knapp Surrey ~March 27

— Meet the Easter bunny, get your face painted, colour an Easter picture, and for the parents. There will be free Tim Horton’s coffee and FREE train rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Art Knapp Surrey is located at 4391 King George Blvd, Surrey.

Bridgeview Community Centre Easter ~March 19

Get your creative side out and make your own Easter egg basket and then join everyone for a fun egg hunt activity. Bring the whole family for games, crafts and fun! This is a free event for everyone! Bridgeview Community Centre is located at 11475 126A Street, Surrey.

Easter Fair~ March 26

Hop on over to the Surrey Museum, 17710 56A Ave., to meet the real Easter Bunny and Friends! Meet Easter cats, dog, birds, and of course, bunnies, at the Surrey Museum’s annual event. Learn about the real Easter Bunny and friends as you visit with local rescue animals, from rabbits to dogs and cats to parrots. It’s not Easter without eggs! Hop around the Museum galleries to spy our hidden Easter eggs. Spring into family crafts and games.

Drop in is free for all ages.

Geocache Easter Egg Hunt ~ March 19

Upgrade your egg hunt this year and join the Partners in Parks team on a geocache hunt at Hawthorne Park, 10513 144 St., Surrey. Register for one of the times below!

Geocaching participants will navigate to specific GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the cache hidden at that location. Instructions and GPS unit provided. After your treasure hunt, visit the Partners in Parks booth for prizes and refreshments! Registration required. There are limited spaces available, therefore, please notify Partners in Parks 48 hours prior if you are not able to attend; this allows for someone else to register. Participants should dress for the weather!

 

ABBOTSFORD

Maan Farms Easter Egg-Stravaganza ~ March 26-27

Come enjoy an awesome Easter Egg Hunt on the farm, 790 McKenzie Rd., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with face-painting, contests, family activities, hay-wagon rides, prizes, yummy treats, and meet the Easter Bunny!!! Easter Egg Decorating ~March 19

Fantasy Farms, located at 9423 Gibson Rd. in Chilliwack is getting ready to throw their Easter bash – Petey’s Eggstravaganza March 24-28: through to Saturday: 10am-4pm, Sunday & Monday: 10am–2pm Come meet the Easter Bunny, Ride the Train and search for eggs in the maze to trade them in for surprises.
