Did you know there’s a brand new regional park here in the Fraser Valley?
On Saturday, April 16th from 12-4 p.m. you’re invited to celebrate the official opening of Surrey Bend Regional Park, the newest addition to our regional park system.
Located at 17529 – 112 Avenue, Surrey BC, this family-friendly event will offer interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, stilt-walkers, face painting and nature programs. Discover multi-use trails while investigating the wetlands, bogs and floodplains that make this a regionally significant natural area.
Here’s What’s Happening in the Park:
11:30 a.m. First shuttle bus departs Pacific Academy
12 p.m. Ventriloquist Norma McNight with Norbert the Frog
12:30 p.m. Official Ceremony
1:15 p.m. Musician Tony Prophet
2 p.m. Feature act Bobs & Lolo
3:10 p.m. Musician Tony Prophet
4:30 p.m. Last shuttle bus departs Surrey Bend Regional Park
*Free mini cupcakes for the first 500 participants.
For all ages and abilities. Strollers and wheelchairs welcome.
HOW TO GET THERE
Park at Pacific Academy, located at 10238 – 10300 168 St., Surrey, and take a free shuttle bus to Surrey Bend Regional Park
First shuttle bus will leave Pacific Academy at 11:30 AM.
Last shuttle bus will leave Surrey Bend Regional Park at 4:30 PM.
Shuttle departs every 20 minutes from Pacific Academy.
