Calling all gardeners and budding green thumbs, there’s a free fun-filled family event coming soon to the Fraser Valley.
So go ahead, grab your calendars and mark off Saturday, June 13th for Build it in the Plaza in Downtown Langley. This is an event you won’t want to miss!
Local gardening celebrity, Shelley Levis of Sow & Dipity, will provide creative ideas and tips for your next DIY outdoor project.

Beautiful displays will showcase new trends in backyard beautification. Bring the whole family and build tool boxes and bird houses onsite or experience hands-on fun at building themed sensory stations.
This event, presented by the Downtown Langley Business Association, kicks off the 2015 McBurney Plaza Summer series, running Saturdays from June through September.
Downtown Langley is going to be this summer’s destination for live theatrical performances, DIY demonstrations, music, art, live animals and even a circus! The McBurney Plaza Summer Series truly has something for everybody and for all ages. Aside from Build it in the Plaza on June 13th, upcoming events will include:
Theatre in the Plaza – Saturday, June 27 12pm – 3pm
McBurney Plaza will transform into another world with a little help from your imagination and some special theatrical guests. Get your face painted, make a puppet and take part!
Art in the Plaza – Saturday, July 25 12pm – 3pm
Enjoy presentations by local painters, cartoonists and sculptors. Bring out your inner artist and try your hand at your very own masterpiece – no experience required!
Animals in the Plaza – Saturday, August 8 12pm – 3pm
Join fellow animal lovers for a fun filled day of animal education and partake in some fun & fabulous animal crafts.
Circus in the Plaza – Saturday, September 26 12pm – 3pm
Join special guests from the Inner Ring Circus as they bring their amazing talents to McBurney Plaza. Keep your eyes out for stilt walking, jugglers, unicycles and more.
