The Fraser Valley Food Show – presented by Born 3 Eggs – celebrates 7 years of all things food in the Fraser Valley on October 3, 4, and 5, 2014 at the Tradex Trade & Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford.
From delicious samples and informative demos to the latest cookware and more, here are just 5 reasons why YOU should attend this tasty event.
1. Learn Some Mad Meat Skills
New this year is the Butchers’ Showcase Stage presented by BC Pork and Passion for Pork, where butchers from all over B.C. will demonstrate the art of meat cutting, sausage making, knife skills, and more. Presentations will take place throughout the weekend.2. Experience Oktoberfest

The third annual Great Canadian Sausage Making Competition returns to award professional sausage makers across the country in 14 categories. The crowd-pleasing Oktoberfest Sausage & Beer Tasting will take place on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11:30am, where tasters can wash down sausage samples with a glass of Erdinger or Mongozo Premium Pilsner for 4 tasting tickets or $2 cash (for adults aged 19 and over).

3. Celebrity Cooking Stage Presenters

Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel Ned Bell presents on the Celebrity Cooking Stage, where he will be sure to tell stories about his 8,000 kilometre bicycle journey across Canada to benefit Chefs for Oceans, in support of sustainable seafood.

Adam Hart, author of The Power of Food, will present on the #1 Gluten Free food for more energy. Diagnosed as pre-diabetic at the age of 26, Hart founded Power of Food in 2003, dedicated to sharing the benefits of eating a healthier diet without giving up the foods we love. He has become a highly sought-after keynote speaker with his most popular talk, “Have Your Cake & Eat it Too.” Guests will be able to sample Mother Nature’s #1 source of protein.

Other stage presenters include Executive Chef and former Chopped Canada contestant Sue Wiebe of Classic Party Rentals.

4. Gluten Free Living Show

Back by popular demand, the Gluten Free Living Show returns within the Fraser valley Food Show to cater to the increasing number of attendees interested in gluten-free eating. Over half of the show floor will be composed of gluten-free vendors.

Visitors can explore and sample goods from over 100 food and beverage exhibitors across Canada, and take part in traditional elements of the show to satisfy their hungry appetites:

More than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend over the three-day weekend at the Tradex Trade and Exhibition Centre at 1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford, B.C. Tickets are $7 for adults online.
