Enter to Win Family Pass to Stanley Park Ghost Train

One of our favourite Halloween activities returns to Vancouver this month, offering a spooktacular time for the whole family.

All aboard! Grab the family, bundle up nice and toasty hop on Stanley Park’s Ghost Train Oct. 13-31, which promises to be out of this world with the new thrilling theme, Alien Invasion!

Get ready to be immersed into a crash landing site right in the middle of Stanley Park where an unknown spaceship has landed. Journey into unrestricted zones and ride the popular train to unravel the mystery of an unexpected abduction by the park’s extraterrestrial visitors, including a ride through a star field tunnel of lasers!

The classic night train ride includes a 13-minute & 40-second experience featuring the “Alien Invasion” theme with lights, sounds, and live performers, while the matinee train ride  is a great daytime activity for families, school groups, and groups with children. There are no live performers during matinee train rides.

In addition to the train, there is lots of fun stuff happening on site for all ages, including: some top secret happenings in Area 52 that’s open during operating hours. This fun indoor addition features face painting, crafts and movies. Creatures of the Night – presented by Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) Running in conjunction with the Stanley Park Ghost Train, is another free, family-friendly experience offered onsite. The Creature Feature tent in the Ghost Train plaza area offers hands-on activities for all ages and is staffed by friendly volunteers ready to teach you about alien plants and other bizarre creatures that inhabit Stanley Park.

On Oct 24, a costume contest will held in the picnic tent for kids 17 and under. There will be prizes awarded for best costume in each age group. And, on Friday & Saturday nights, the Ghost Train plaza will feature live music from a stellar 5-piece rock band to get train passengers in the mood for some spooky extra-terrestrial fun.

Feeling famished after your ride? This year, the Stanley Park Ghost Train has teamed up with some amazing food vendors to offer a variety of delights available in the plaza. Food vendors will be open for both matinee and evening show times.

This will be our third year as a family visiting the Stanley Park Ghost Train, which is an event we always look forward to.
