Can you believe the start of school is already just weeks away?

Back to school shopping was always a big highlight of my summer growing up — my girls seem to love it too.

It was a tradition to go for lunch (usually the Zeller’s Cafe) and then hit the sales for everything neon and hyper colour. Oh, and those super long Bodyshop shirts that looked like you weren’t wearing anything underneath. Remember those?

Now that I’m the mom, I’m excited to start my own traditions –Highstreet FV has an exciting new event that can help with that.

To help Fraser Valley families prepare for fashions for the upcoming school year, Highstreet FV in Abbotsford is hosting its first ever outdoor Back to School Fashion Show this Saturday, Aug. 26.

I’d love to have you join me and my little ladies in the audience to scope out what’s trending from H+M, Old Navy, Forever 21, Urban Behavior, Marshalls, RW+Co and more.

There will be casual and dressy attire on the runway for children to teens and entertainment for the entire family.

The show, which kicks off at 3 p.m., will be located in Central Plaza in front of the Cineplex. Word on the street is that were will be some great prizes to be given away.

This is the perfect opportunity to eye up the latest trends, have fun shopping and grab some lunch.

Seats are $10, standing room is totally free.
