EnVie Fitness: Not Your Typical Langley Gym

It’s that time of year where many of us make that noble New Year’s resolution to work out or push our fitness routine to the next level.

However, that resolve generally starts to wear thin around the third week in January, studies show.

Let’s face it — making a new healthy habit stick for the longterm can be a challenge, especially for busy moms trying to balance the home front with extracurricular activities, work and whatever social life we have left. Deciding which fitness program to adapt to your lifestyle is no easy feat either.

Here in Langley, the current fitness landscape is a cornucopia of every fitness concept imaginable. If it’s yoga you crave, there are several studios near you. If you’d rather throw a few punches and kicks with adrenaline pumping jams, kick boxing is easy to find. And if it’s busting a move that gets your heart rate up, there are numerous gyms that offer Zumba and aerobics.

But what if I told you there’s now a brand new fitness studio that offers a plethora of classes, knowledgable and motivating instructors, as well as childcare?

This boutique-style women’s only studio isn’t your typical gym, according to franchise owner Ayanna Gibb, a former stay-at-home mother of two has been teaching Zumba for over five years and is clearly passionate about her community, as well as helping women to feel and look their personal best.

“I love that I chose to be a stay-at-home-mom, at the same time, I came to realize I needed more. My Zumba business fulfilled that for the past few years, especially because it has been al about community and bringing like-minded women together. Now I am ready for even more, and for me, it has to involve lifting women up, bringing them together, and making a difference in the community. That is why I chose EnVie; they are exactly what I have been looking for in a company.”

Ayanna prides herself on creating a community environment that is motivating and fun for all her members. Being surrounded by like-minded women as well as trainers that are available to help women reach their health and fitness goals ensures that they are always supported.

“It does not feel like a gym; it is a place where women can feel safe to be themselves and they are surrounded by women wanting to achieve similar goals,” said Ayanna.

“I feel like Langley needs a studio like this and I hope women will embrace it. I think many women are looking for the same thing, but have to settle for what is out there. I am so excited!”

Aside from light hand weights to assist in the strength classes, one won’t find any machines and big equipment at EnVie, as the studio’s focus is solely fitness classes. Note: Class schedules are subject to change; they are updated using the feedback from clients.
Current hours of operation are:
Monday – Thursday, 5:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.
Friday – 5:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Sunday, 9 a.m. 11 a.m.
Membership is $129/month
Anyone interested in starting a new fitness routine or to see what EnVie Fitness is all about in person is invited to stop by the studio this Friday, Jan 20, 2017 from 5-9 p.m. for an open house celebration. The Langley Township mayor will be cutting the ribbon at 5 p.m.
“This is going to be a lot of fun for the whole family,” said Ayanna.
“Bring your husbands and children, throw on some workout gear and come see what we are all about! There will be food, drinks and childminding available from 6 to 9 p.m.”
