As a mom of two wee Valley gals who is on a tight budget, I’m always on the hunt for affordable family fun. Let’s face it, a trip to an indoor play centre can get quite costly – not to mention, a tad tedious.
I did some digging to discover 5 FREE family events that are on this weekend Sept 17-18, 2016 in the Fraser Valley.
What: Willows Church presents their annual fall fun fair that’s open to the whole community. Bouncy castles! Games! Face painting! Popcorn! Cotton candy! Fun, fun, fun!!! Come along rain or shine and bring your friends!
When: Saturday, Sept. 17th, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: RC Garnett Demonstration School, 7096 201 St, Langley.
2- Campbell Valley Regional Park’s 38th Country Celebration
What: This fabulous fall tradition that combines nature, heritage, agriculture and community is back and more fun than ever with a bike powered main stage, circus skills workshops, kite-making, raku pottery workshops, story telling, cow milking demonstrations, live raptors, and so much more! From perogies to burritos to mini donuts to freshly squeezed lemonade, choose from a variety of classic country fair food to fuel your day’s activities. Dogs are allowed to attend, as long as they are on a leash. An ATM machine is available onsite.
Entrance Admission is $3 per adult, $2 child 7-13 and senior 65+, However, it is FREE for children 6 and under, and anyone dressed in pioneer costume.
When: Saturday, Sept, 17th to Sunday, Sept. 18th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

3- BeYou Girl
What: Sevenoaks Shopping Centre will be transforming into a BeYou Girl tradeshow designed to empower young girls and support the Big Brothers Big Sisters program across Canada.
Enjoy a day of speakers, live entertainment, interactive stations, inspirational spaces and so much more! Plus a chance to win a $500 Gift Card by visiting various passport destinations!

4- Maan Farms Pumpkin Festival
What: Maan Farms is the place to be this fall! For 7 weekends September 17 – October 31st the farm will be providing family activities & entertainment suitable for all ages. Festivities are free and will be located in front of the store under the tents. Eat your lunch in a chuck wagon, and check out different guests every weekend and more.
