The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is in full bloom, featuring 10 acres of tulips in a brilliant display of colour.
With over 35 varieties on display, the Festival celebrates the start of Spring and agriculture here in the Fraser Valley.
My girls, mom and myself decided to visit this gorgeous attraction last weekend on our way home from Harrison Hot Springs.
Located at 36737 North Parallel Road (close to Castle Fun Park), the Festival is the perfect spot to enjoy a local outing here in ‘the Valley’ and soak up the gorgeous scenery that is picture perfect.
With photo cutout boards, a covered picnic area, food trucks and a children’s play area, there’s something for everyone. Molly and Zoe loved racing the rubber duckies.
Make sure to bring a camera – this is the perfect spot to snap some family photos. Can you think of a more beautiful backdrop?
For those looking to bring some of the beauty home, bouquets of fresh cut tulips are available at the on-site flower market. For those who want the full farm experience, wander through the designated u-pick area and build a bouquet of your own.
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival runs until May 1, 2016 and is open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
